Hylomar Exhaust Paste 500g – 26680 is a high-temperature, water-based exhaust assembly paste designed to seal joints in vehicle exhaust systems while making assembly easier. The heat-curing formulation provides a gas-tight seal once the exhaust system reaches operating temperature and is resistant to vibration and high pressure.
Ideal for cars, vans, tractors, agricultural machinery, commercial vehicles and general automotive applications, Hylomar Exhaust Paste can also be used on flues and boiler pipes where a high-temperature jointing compound is required.
Hylomar Exhaust Paste is suitable for sealing and assembling exhaust pipes, exhaust joints, silencers, connectors and other exhaust system components. Apply to clean, prepared mating surfaces before assembling the joint. Once the engine is started and the exhaust heats up, the paste cures to form a gas-tight seal.

Ensure the surfaces are clean and free from loose rust, dirt and grease. Abrade the surfaces with medium emery paper, apply the paste liberally to the joints and assemble immediately. Run the engine at low speed until warm to allow the paste to cure and form a gas-tight seal. Do not run engines in confined spaces.
